Melbourne’s Yarra’s Edge Precinct
According to Mirvac, Melbourne’s Yarra’s Edge precinct will be home to a new suburb of some 3000 residents where wellness and health have been incorporated into the building design from the outset.
Designed with a range of apartment configurations, the Wharf Club development will feature a pool, steam room, fitness centre and café underneath a 2000sqm public park, called ‘Wharf’s Landing’.
The focus on the wellbeing aspects of Yarra’s Edge draws inspiration from various bodies of research including that of marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols, who found that humans are hard-wired to respond positively to water as it calms and gives our brains a rest from overstimulation.
The Wharf Club is the latest part of Mirvac’s Wharf’s Entrance precinct, began construction in 2013 as part of the ongoing development of the Yarra’s Edge precinct.
Mirvac general manager of residential Victoria, Elysa Anderson said the Wharf Club and Wharf’s Landing park have been in the company’s planning for some time.
